Todos en la clase política coinciden en que España tiene un problema con la vivienda. El Gobierno de coalición ha querido culpar a los propietarios, con medidas tan ineficaces como el tope del alquiler. Parte de los pisos en oferta proceden de los bloques edificados durante el franquismo, con su correspondiente placa con el yugo y las flechas en la entrada. La Memoria Histórica podrá alterar los libros, pero no se ocupa de cuestiones de máxima actualidad.
Diferentes sectores culpan a los bancos, que mantienen pisos cerrados tras el estallido de la burbuja inmobiliaria. Las cajas de ahorros de los gobiernos regionales de turno financiaron promociones irrealizables que hemos costeado todos los contribuyentes. Fondos de inversión como Blackrock hacen el agosto en la Península especulando con el suelo de un país empobrecido.
El precio medio del alquiler se ha disparado en los últimos meses. Los medios rendidos al poder ocultan la causa real: los propietarios han decidido retirar sus pisos, o bien han subido los precios y endurecido las condiciones de entrada. El blindaje de los okupas, a los cuales el propietario tiene que seguir pagando el agua y la luz para evitar ser denunciado por coacciones, ya no es una anécdota. Los propietarios han querido protegerse de posibles inquilinos no deseados, y han aparecido empresas especializadas que encarecen aún más los precios.
La sociedad debe alzar la voz y votar de forma coherente. En las últimas elecciones generales, los partidos que se han mostrado favorables a la okupación obtuvieron once millones de votos. En España no hay once millones de okupas. Pero calculadora en manos, sí hay millones de votantes a los que la propiedad privada les parece un juego, hasta que les afecta a ellos.
